About This Product
A pneumatic telescopic mast (telescopic pole) is an aluminum mast that can be expanded and contracted by injecting and expelling air. The mast is an anodized lightweight aluminum alloy tube that resists corrosion and has high durability. The number of sections (tiers) varies from 2 to 14 depending on the mast's extended/retracted height and other specifications.
Models with locking mechanisms in each section can be locked at each section or in the middle of a section to fix the mast at the desired height and maintain that height even when deflated. Smaller models can be extended with a manual pump, so no power source is required.
When you open the air exhaust valve to let out the air, the mast will slowly lower (retract) under its own weight. Therefore, there is no need for a power supply to shorten the length in an emergency, and the length can be shortened even during a power outage. Since there are no mechanisms or mechanical parts such as motors, wires, or pulleys, there are no problems caused by these failures, and no special maintenance is required. Even if the air hose comes out, it is safe because it will descend slowly under its own weight.
