About This Product

When air pressure is lost, the unit clamps to the cylinder rod. The energy of the load drift or drop is used to generate the clamping force. A rod catcher prevents the cylinder rod from elongating unless the static holding force is exceeded. Locking brakes are kept open by air pressure. Clamping force increases with increasing load. When air pressure drops, internal spring pressure clamps the cylinder rod. Clamping force is released by applying air pressure and retracting the load. The locking brake is single-acting.
