About This Product

■Features

Permi is a revolutionary system that allows you to measure air permeability online in real time. It can handle various webs such as paper, film (battery separator film), and non-woven fabrics. Since its launch in 2002, we have continued to expand our track record around the world, mainly in Europe and America.

■Summary

The measuring head is brought into contact with the web, and the air flow rate sucked in for 2 msec is calculated and converted to air permeability. The measured air permeability is averaged using an arbitrary value and output. There is a wide lineup of measuring heads, including materials, shapes, and coatings, and we will select the one that best suits your web. It is also possible to set thresholds and output alarms.

■Advantages of introduction

In addition to stabilizing quality, you can expect significant cost benefits such as shortening line start-up time and increasing line speed (increased production).

■Measurement principle

The measuring head is brought into contact with the web, and the air flow rate using Permi LP (vacuum method) or the air resistance value using Permi HP (air blow method) is calculated as the air permeability. Permi PD (Pressure Drop) uses an air blow method to simultaneously measure air permeability and pressure drop.
