About This Product
SURFCAM was released in the late 1980s as the world's first 3D CAD/CAM system fully compatible with Microsoft Windows, and was introduced in a wide range of industries as a pioneer of PC-based CAD/CAM. At the time, its NURBS-based modeling and real-time shading capabilities attracted a lot of attention from users who had installed high-end workstation-based CAD/CAM systems and users who were considering installing a CAD/CAM system in the future. Today, this concept has been inherited and continues to evolve as an easy-to-use, convenient, and familiar 3D tool.
■SURFCAM Traditional 2Axis Advanced -2-axis CAM function-
SURFCAM Traditional 2Axis is equipped with CAD functions that 2D-CAM has been weak at until now, such as drawing functions from drawings, 3D model creation, and importing various 2D and 3D data. It also supports fixed cycle process registration, pocket, contour, and uncut machining, and is good at general-purpose operations. In addition to milling, it can be used for a wide range of operations, including lathes, wire cutting, and indexing using multifunction machines. Furthermore, you can use 2D drawing data directly or easily extract 2D information from 3D models to create data for drilling, pockets, contours, and residual machining.
■SURFCAM Traditional 3Axis Advanced -3-axis CAM function-
SURFCAM Traditional 3Axis supports automatic roughing of contour lines from arbitrary shapes, and all finishing patterns of contour lines, along surfaces, and scan lines. In addition to standard patterns, we offer steep and shallow machining by specifying angles and automatic residual machining, as well as tool paths that meet a variety of machining needs, such as pencil machining and compound surface tracing machining. Additionally, it now supports path generation from STL data for specific finishing patterns. With this 3-axis machining module, it is possible to create machining data in a series of steps, from rough machining to semi-rough machining, finishing machining, and residual machining for complex surfaces.
