About This Product
■Intuitive expressiveness and delicate control
In addition to traditional visual elements, Geomagic Freeform uses the sense of touch to recognize design models on a computer in three dimensions.
Freeform uses expression technology using particles (voxels) rather than surfaces or solids.
■About voxels
Voxel is a pixel with volume added to it, and is a compound word combining pixel and voxel.
Voxels in Freeform are like particles with volume, and models are built by clustering voxels together.
By using a clay model built with these voxels, we can reproduce complex shapes such as solids and surfaces that cannot be expressed with CAD data.
■Geomagic Touch/TouchX
GeomagicFreeform uses a dedicated device "Touch" or "TouchX" for modeling. This device allows you to touch the model on the software, and perform intuitive operations such as cutting or pulling while touching the model.
■Supports various file formats
In addition to editing clay models, it also supports reading scan data and CAD data. The loaded data is converted to voxels and can be edited freely, such as by supplementing the data or adding decorations.
■Various modeling functions
Design models freely and intuitively using tools that feature special devices such as engraving, molding, and decoration that are not available in traditional CAD software.
■Other functions
Operations that are difficult with mesh data or CAD data, such as offsetting organic shapes, are also possible with Freeform. You can also output the created model as an IGES or STEP file using the automatic surface function.
