■A farmer's wife's thoughts make work safer and easier
This product was devised by Mr. Saito of Kamikoani Village, Akita Prefecture. During rice planting work, my wife was in charge of supplying seedling boxes from the flat container on the truck to the rice transplanting machine. When I was handing over heavy seedling boxes one by one to my husband, who is a rice transplanter operator, there was a steep slope and I fell down, and there was a canal (irrigation water) that I had to jump over with the seedling boxes. It was extremely dangerous and hard work. That's why Mr. Saito, who cares about his wife, came up with this seedling shooter. My wife is also happy that she can now work safely and easily.
