About This Product

The fact that the Sensimedia rapid microorganism detection method can now display the culture status in a graph means that the status can be visualized numerically. By using standard bacterial strains, you can easily understand and evaluate the performance of liquid media. The figure below shows the performance evaluation method for liquid media for coliform detection.

Through this method, the performance of the liquid culture medium used in Sensimedia has been ascertained, and it has been developed for use in test kits. The performance of Sensimedia's liquid media for coliform detection is shown in the figure below.

The reason why the straight line (approximate value line) on the graph shifts up and down depending on the type of equipment (type of liquid medium) is that the accurate number of bacteria was determined and the straight line on the graph was offset (corrected). This is due to For example, if you collect data assuming that the sample is 10 squared (1 x 10^2) in a dilution series, but the actual sample is 80 (0.8 x 10^2), change the coefficient 1 to 0.8 and convert the series. Shifts the entire graph line downward.

The dilution series is diluted in 10-fold increments, so the graph has a logarithmic scale of 10 on the vertical axis, but dilution data for a 2x2 dilution series also overlaps this straight line. As long as data is collected under the same conditions, the same results will be obtained even if the data is collected by different people at different locations, so performance can be compared using the graphs as they are.
