About This Product

The Sensimedia method has been developed as a test kit for qualitative testing that can accurately detect one microorganism without the need for equipment. Sensimedia is a test kit for faster detection of microbial contamination without the use of equipment. Biomatic VDCS is provided for fully automatic detection.

■Measurement principle of color reaction method (CO2 indicator)Detecting the CO2 produced during the metabolic process of microbial growth is widely used as a highly reliable method for detecting the presence of microorganisms.

The color reaction method test tool uses CO2 as the detection element, and is a sterilized, disposable test kit consisting of a capped test tube containing a liquid medium and a CO2 sensor enclosed. Simply open the cap, add the sample, tighten the cap, and culture in an incubator to easily detect viable bacteria with high sensitivity.

The sensor adsorbs a certain amount of CO2, and when the amount of CO2 adsorbed reaches a threshold, its color changes from dark blue to yellow in a relatively short period of time (about 1 hour). Since incubation lasts for 24 hours, a 1 hour reaction is equivalent to a digital reaction and is very easy to judge.

The test kit itself determines the detection of microorganisms, but when it is negative, the color of the CO2 sensor is dark blue and does not transmit light, and when it is positive, it becomes transparent yellow and transmits light, so the sensor can be monitored. This means that the detection mechanism needed to do this can be extremely simple.
