PCB processing with LPKF ProtoMat S104
■High speed and precision
The ProtoMat S104 has a 100,000 rpm spindle motor and high resolution to process high quality substrates in a short time. The stable granite-based housing makes it ideal for precision drilling and wiring pattern processing. A high spindle motor with a self-cleaning mechanism eliminates the need for maintenance.
■Fully automatic
Operation automation has made ProtoMat S104 even easier to use. The sensor automatically measures the thickness of the base material and copper and determines the required milling depth. Automatic tool exchange for up to 20 tools allows for small-lot board production.
Milling tools with a tip angle change the cutting width depending on the height, but the S104 automatically adjusts the cutting width. These functions allow optimization of machining time.
■2.5D processing
ProtoMat S104 is capable of 2.5D machining of nameplates and casings, as well as pocket machining of PCB boards, by driving the Z-axis. You can also cut mounting boards and plastics as you wish.
■Intuitive software
The software that comes with ProtoMat is extremely flexible and easy for anyone to operate. The software is designed to meet the demands of RF applications. Since we have parameter libraries for various materials, you can easily create boards without worrying about processing know-how.
■Solder paste dispensing function
An optional dispense set automatically applies solder paste to pads. No additional data calculations are required. Full automation has enabled us to shorten machining time.
