About This Product
This device is a manual pencil scratch tester manufactured based on JISK-5600 and equipped with the functions of a pencil scratch tester. The hardness and adhesion strength of the paint film are measured by the hardness of the pencil that causes scratches when scratching paint, varnish, etc. with a pencil held at a 45-degree angle and a load of 750 g.
The Barcol hardness tester is widely used as an essential measuring device in the manufacture of aluminum sashes, lightweight aluminum vehicles, FRP radar domes, chemical tanks, water tanks, septic tanks, fishing boats, small boats, etc. Additionally, the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) uses it as an official measuring device to test whether aluminum ladders that have been exposed to fire can be reused.
