About This Product

■Summary

This is a resin impregnation device that can be used both under pressure and pressure, and is effective for infiltrating brittle and porous samples with resin and mounting them on glass slides in a bubble-free state. How to use

■Decompression

1×10⁻³Torr. When a sample is placed in a resin and the pressure is reduced, the air in the voids becomes bubbles and rises to the surface, allowing the resin to penetrate. Air dissolved in the resin is also removed in the form of bubbles.

■Pressure

2 atmospheres. Resins generate heat during polymerization reactions. At this time, air and moisture in the sample expand and form bubbles. Applying pressure during polymerization suppresses the expansion of air and moisture and completes the polymerization, allowing for bubble-free mounting.
