About This Product

■Summary

Technovit is the newest cold mounting resin that allows you to mount a large number of specimens in resin in an extremely short time with simple operations without the need for expensive mounting equipment or heating.

■Features

It is especially recommended for resin embedding in the following cases. 1) Items that should not be exposed to high temperatures or pressures. 2) Items that need to be quickly embedded and tested (e.g. for quality control during production) 3) Something with a unique shape. 4) It would be a problem if the embedded sample cracked due to stress during curing.

■Technovit 4000

A polyester resin with low shrinkage during polymerization and high abrasion resistance. Milky white/opaque. It has good adhesion (adhesion with the specimen can be further improved by using the pressurizer "Technomat MR-1000") and high abrasion resistance, so specimens with no edges can be polished. Machine processing possible.

■How to remove the sample

1) Cut the sample as thin as possible, then soak it in a solvent such as acetone and remove it. (In our experimental example, when sliced ​​into 2-3mm thick pieces, it was possible to remove them after 12 hours of soaking.) 2) Other methods include burning it to ashes.
