■Summary
When using a diamond wheel, removing the runout (reshaping or truing) from the outer periphery is an important part of the preparatory process. This machine is mainly used for truing straight wheels or cup wheels with a WA grindstone or C grindstone attached.
■How to use
The whetstone of this machine starts turning by pressing against the wheel rotating at low speed. As the rotation speed increases, the brake shoe, which is directly connected to the grinding wheel, stretches out against the spring due to centrifugal force, and the friction between it and the brake ring acts as a brake, reducing the grinding speed. The truing effect occurs due to the difference in circumferential speed between the grinding wheel and the wheel.
