About This Product

■Summary

This cemented carbide (tungsten carbide) polishing plate is harder than hard glass or agate polishing plates, and thanks to a special manufacturing method, it is compatible with abrasives (SiC, Aℓ₂O₃, etc.), and is suitable for use with rocks and minerals. This polishing plate is ideal for manual finishing of similar thin sections (specimens for microscopic observation).

■Features

1) Excellent wear resistance. 2) It is hard, and thanks to a special manufacturing method, the abrasive sticks well and the surface precision is good, so even corners can be polished. 3) Both sides have the same polished finish and have good parallel flatness. (JIS display level 2-3S)

■Applications

For making thin sections of rocks and minerals, and polishing other hard materials.
