About This Product

■Biodegradable straws made from upcycled bagasse

Straws made using biodegradable plastic derived from corn and sugarcane dregs (bagasse) that are discarded after juice extraction. Since it is biodegradable, after use it is decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by the action of microorganisms in an appropriate environment such as industrial compost. It is comparable to traditional plastic straws, and the straw will not become soft even after long-term use.

■What is biodegradable plastic?

Biodegradation is the process by which plastics are broken down to the molecular level by the action of microorganisms, eventually decomposing into carbon dioxide and water, which are then recycled into the natural world. Biodegradability is determined by internationally established test methods and established standards.

■This straw has undergone the following biodegradability tests.

・DIN CERTOCO ・DIN EN 13432 ・ASTM D 6400

■Recommended expiry date and storage precautions

・This product is biodegradable, so please use it within 12 months from the date of manufacture. ・When storing this product, avoid places with high temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight, and use it as soon as possible. *Please use with confidence as the spots on the product are bagasse. Since we use natural ingredients, the color may vary depending on the lot.
