■How Solar Pulsar performs irrigation according to the amount of sunlight

A submersible pump is operated by a solar panel that generates electricity according to sunlight, and water is sent to a pulsating tank. When the tank reaches a certain water level [full], a valve opens by the action of a sensor and water is distributed to the drip tube, and the water level in the tank is [full]. When the water reaches the empty level, the valve closes and the water stops flowing. This action, called ``pulsation'', is repeated several times a day. The newly released liquid fertilizer mixer starts the submersible pump inside the liquid fertilizer tank with the signal from the pulsating tank's [empty] sensor, and sends concentrated liquid fertilizer to the pulsating tank at a low flow rate through the flow rate restriction tube. ■Setting liquid fertilizer mixing ratio

Adjust the fertilizer to a certain concentration when watering. By measuring the amount of water per pulsation and setting the pump operation time based on the flow rate per minute of the liquid fertilizer pump, it is possible to mix a certain ratio of liquid fertilizer into the pulsating irrigation. For example, when the top height of the pulsating tank is 2.5 m and the amount of water per pulsating water is 500 L, the amount of liquid fertilizer required to mix 1/100 liquid fertilizer is 5 L. At that time, if the flow rate of the liquid fertilizer pump with a head of 2.5 m is 500 mL/min, set the pump operation time to ``10 minutes at a time.'' Measure the EC value to check if the mixing ratio is set correctly. Even if you do not know the amount of water per pulse, there is a convenient method of adjusting the operation time of the liquid fertilizer pump while measuring the EC value after mixing.

■You can use any liquid fertilizer you want

You can use commercially available liquid fertilizer. There are many types of highly concentrated liquid fertilizers available on the market from various manufacturers, so please refer to the displayed NP-K mixture concentration ratio and EC value to choose your favorite liquid fertilizer that suits your crops and hardwood field. When performing more advanced nutrient soil cultivation, conduct a soil diagnosis (soil analysis) of the target field, prepare a simple fertilizer that supplements the current nutrient ratio in just the right amount, and use a liquid fertilizer specifically for that field.
