In the field of polymer chemistry, various liquid viscosity measurements are performed. This device performs a series of simple and automatic operations for viscosity measurement (using a glass capillary viscometer), from supplying the sample liquid to the measurement bulb in the viscosity tube, to measuring kinematic viscosity and outputting the measurement results. Optical fiber is used to detect the liquid level, making it possible to accurately measure the falling time. Measurement up to 1/100 second is possible. Settings and measurement data can be viewed using a touch panel. Equipped with a printer output, and optional communication output of measurement data is also available.
