About This Product

■What is Curea?

Quantitative visualization of the degree of curing of UV-curable resin in real time. This evaluation device realizes in-line 100% inspection, which was previously impossible, and improves both quality and manufacturing efficiency. Features

■ Quantitative visualization of hardening degree in real time

Since measurements can be made without touching the sample, non-destructive testing is possible even in-line. Quantitative, real-time monitoring of “hardening degree” is possible. Even if the sample is inserted into glass or film, such as when the sample is bonded to a film using UV-curable resin, it can be measured as is.

■Non-destructive, non-contact, continuous measurement

There is no need for sampling from the production line or destructive inspection. Enables continuous monitoring in a non-destructive/non-contact manner.

■High flexibility in installation layout

Because it is small, lightweight, and has a simple configuration, it allows for a highly flexible installation layout on the production line, such as attachment to a robot arm.

■Data accumulation, analysis, and traceability

By utilizing dedicated software, we support further improvements in quality and productivity as well as improved traceability.

■Measure under lighting

Stable measurements are possible even under indoor lighting or curing UV light. The curing status can be measured while irradiating ultraviolet light (for curing), and changes over time can be observed.

■Equipment can be selected according to the object to be measured

We will measure the actual sample and select the model that suits the object being measured.

■Small and easy to install

The sensor head is small and lightweight (approx. 900g), so it can be attached to motorized stages, robots, etc.

■Applications

・UV adhesive ・UV coating ・Film lamination ・UV painting ・Nanoimprint resist

■Film

・Lamination of polarizing film ・Lamination of AR (anti-reflection film) ・Lamination of TAC film

■Measurement principle

Fluorescence is emitted when the electrons in a molecule become excited and return to the ground state when they absorb light energy (UV light). This device uses the built-in weak UV light as excitation light to detect the fluorescence emitted from the sample. With UV-curable resins, the fluorescence often changes as the curing progresses, making it possible to measure the curing status.
