About This Product

■Product overview

This smart meter is for on-site inspection of HEMS, and is palm-sized and allows you to measure the reception level, active scan, and UDP line quality of all channels in the 920MHz band with one click on your smartphone. Measurement results can be automatically recorded in graphs, CSV, etc. Recommended for SE and CE in buildings, residential areas, etc.

■Functions/Features

It can be used for on-site investigation, trouble investigation, and product development of smart meters, HEMS, and home appliances. Until now, there was no way to easily measure the reception level in the 920MHz band. This time, we used ROHM's Wi-SUN USB and developed it using Raspberry Pi. You can measure immediately with one click from the menu screen without entering any commands. It can be easily used even by people with no knowledge of Linux. Items that can be measured include Energy Detect scan for all channels (CH33-CH60), Active scan for specified channels, Join network, Ping, UDP Packet reception, and UDP Throughput in real time. Measurement results are automatically recorded in graph and txt format. Register settings, ID, and PWD for Wi-SUN USB can also be set with one click.

■What is Wi-SUN?

・An abbreviation for Wireless Smart Utility Network, an international wireless communication standard developed mainly by NICT (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology) for smart meters. ・For the purpose of smart meter communication, it has been formulated to support applications of the "ECHONET Lite standard" based on the "IEEE802.15.4g standard." ・Transmits 100kbps in the 920MHz band.
