Fluke Calibration's Thermometer Calibrator 4180/81 makes it easy to improve the accuracy of infrared temperature measurements such as thermometers and thermography. The emissivity of 4180/81 is calibrated with a radiation thermometer. Additionally, the target is large and errors due to the size of the heat source can be minimized. These features allow for more consistent, accurate, and reliable calibration than ever before. Additionally, a unique method compensates for errors caused by the emissivity settings of thermometers and thermographers, simplifying the calibration process.

It is accredited and calibrated by a globally trusted temperature calibration laboratory and includes a sample calibration procedure for Fluke's infrared thermometers. This product has all the elements necessary to perform high-quality calibration of radiation thermometers. It can be used with any radiation thermometer or thermographer within the temperature range. The temperature range for the 4180 is -15°C to 120°C, and the 4181 is 35°C to 500°C. Uniformity is also an important factor when it comes to calibrating infrared thermometers, since a thermometer placed at the appropriate calibration distance "watches" almost the entire target. Additionally, the 4180 Series has extremely high accuracy of ±0.35°C, meeting a 4:1 calibration accuracy ratio without emissivity correction.
