Fluke Calibration bass controllers have long been recognized as some of the best bass controllers in the world. These bus controllers are the most popular retrofit controllers in the industry and are now available on Rosemount buses. The Model 7900 Controller is easy to install and can be used in place of the Rosemount Model 915 on all Rosemount bus models.
This controller uses the same circuitry as Fluke Calibration's 2100 controller and provides long-term stability of better than ± 0.003°C. Special noise reduction techniques allow the 7900 to measure even the minute resistance changes required for this level of stability. Temperature EMFs are removed by using an AC bridge within the controller. Precision custom resistors improve short- and long-term stability.
In addition, advanced filtering technology removes line noise that tends to cause problems. The Model 7900 contains special circuitry that monitors the controller's microprocessor and automatically resets the microprocessor if its operation is interrupted. It also includes two separate cutout systems to maintain bath temperatures within normal range.
Software cutouts use adjustable high temperature limits. This limit is easily controlled from the front panel and can be set to match the bath fluid requirements. If the control sensor measures a temperature above this limit, heating will be stopped.
When the bath temperature drops below the normal operating range, heating begins and LN 2 cooling stops. Another separate hardware cutout monitors the bath temperature with a thermocouple and shuts off all heating and LN 2 cooling when the bath temperature exceeds that range.
