■Easy-to-use fixed point maintenance equipment with excellent cost performance
・Excellent introductory instrument for fixed point calibration
・User friendly and low price
Fluke Calibration's 9260 Mini Fixed Point Cell Temperature Furnace is a fixed point calibration system that reduces the cost of performing fixed point calibrations on traditional systems by half and virtually eliminates the time and training required.
This temperature furnace is less than half the cost of larger temperature furnaces, operates on indium, tin, zinc, and aluminum cells and covers all ITS-90 fixed points from 156.5985°C to 660.323°C. The cell itself also uses less 99.9999% pure metal and is much less costly. However, cost is only part of the problem.
Using fixed points with the 9260 is easy. Simply insert the cells in the evening and leave them overnight. The next morning, we initialize the built-in software routines for specific cells. You can come back within an hour to check the stability of the cell and perform measurements from a nearly perfect temperature source at a later time.
Built-in software allows you to choose between using melting and freezing point curves for each metal. Although ITS-90 requires freezing point, melting point is easier to achieve and the difference in uncertainty (less than 2 mK for most applications) is generally small. In fact, the difference between using a conventional cell at the freezing point and a Fluke Calibration mini cell at the melting point is negligible in many labs for most applications.
Comparison blocks are also available with the 9260 to perform high-accuracy comparative calibrations at elevated temperatures. Two blocks with various pre-drilled wells and blank or custom blocks are available. The well depth is 229 mm (9 in).
