Oscilloscope calibration is complex, time-consuming, and costly. It's a job that requires a lot of skill and judgment, and modern oscilloscopes are multichannel, so cables have to be reconnected frequently. Even automated systems require significant manual intervention to complete simple calibration procedures. Additionally, the use of switching systems and multiplexers for automation often introduces additional errors and aberrations. The 9500B Oscilloscope Calibrator breaks that paradigm. The 9500B allows you to fully automate accurate oscilloscope calibration without manual intervention, meeting both performance and cost requirements. Additionally, you can upgrade if needed even after purchase.

■9560 active head - for constant amplitude sine waves up to 6.0 GHz

The 9560 has been added to the active head lineup, further expanding the scope of oscilloscope calibration. The addition of the 9560 active head is in keeping with our philosophy of giving you more bang for your buck for your oscilloscope calibration investment. Customers who are already using the 9500 can upgrade to the same status as the 9500B by adding the 9560, and can take advantage of its improved performance. The 9560 can output a 6.0 GHz constant amplitude sine wave and pulse edges as short as 70 ps. Unlike other oscilloscope calibrators, the 9500B is not limited to pulses of specific amplitude. The active head allows you to adjust the output amplitude from 4.44 mV to 3.1 V, allowing you to check the amplitude down to the oscilloscope's most sensitive range. No matter which amplitude you choose, filter control of the waveform ensures that all fast edges deliver accurate energy.
