■High-accuracy working standard for on-site resistance calibration
・Small and robust
・No need for oil bath or air bath
・Usage environment: 18° to 28° C
・6 month stability 2.5 ppm
・Temperature characteristic values are attached.
The 742A Resistance Standard is a high-accuracy working standard for precision calibration of resistance. Its excellent temperature stability allows use within the typical variation of less than 2 ppm in the range of 18°C to 28°C. This uncertainty can be reduced to almost zero by using the calibration value table that is included with the standard and includes correction coefficients in 0.5°C increments. The 742A is "air resistive" and does not require laborious oil or air baths.
The 742A's small size and rugged construction make it easy to transport. Care has been taken to reduce resistance changes due to thermal and mechanical shock. Retrace error (hysteresis) during 0 °C to 40 °C cycles is less than 2 ppm. The 1 Ω 742A-1 and 10 kΩ 742A-10k are ideal for artifact calibration of 5700A/5720A calibrators. Of course, other values can also be used to verify the calibration.
A convenient transit case that accommodates two standards is also available separately.
■Retrace error (hysteresis)
・23℃ ~ 18℃ ~ 23℃ cycle: negligible resistance value fluctuation
・23℃ ~ 28℃ ~ 23℃ cycle: negligible resistance value fluctuation
・23℃ ~ 0℃ ~ 23℃ cycle: < 2 ppm resistance value fluctuation
・23℃ ~ 40℃ ~ 23℃ cycle: < 2 ppm resistance value fluctuation
