■ Stable frequency standards for test systems and calibration labs
The 908 and 909 frequency standards are designed for use as accurate reference clocks in automated test systems and as frequency standards within your business. It can also be used as a portable frequency standard since it reaches the specified stability with a short warm-up time.
While the 908 frequency standard is built around a highly stable oven-controlled crystal oscillator, the 909 incorporates an ultra-stable rubidium timebase ("atomic clock"). Both devices have five buffered 10 MHz outputs and one 5 MHz output. Option 70 increases the number of 10 MHz outputs to 10.
■Ideal for automatic testing (ATE) systems
A stable external frequency clock is required as a reference for many production test systems, especially in the telecommunications industry. Depending on your needs, the 908 or 909 can provide a stable reference frequency for up to 11 instruments or testers, making them ideal for use in ATE systems. Additionally, a rack mount kit is available.
■908 (Thermostatted crystal)
Featuring a highly stable oven-controlled SC-cut crystal oscillator, the 908 has 11 outputs (with Option 70 installed) and lower cost per output.
■909 (Rubidium)
Rubidium oscillators have negligible drift over time and virtually never require adjustment over the life of the test system.
