■Product overview

Silk has been cherished as a precious and beautiful natural fiber since prehistoric times. The national culture that flourished during the Heian period gave rise to various patterns that expressed people's hopes and feelings, and silk fabrics became more colorfully colored. Even after 1,000 years, the beautiful culture of silk and patterns has been passed down through the generations as kimonos. Itoyuki was founded in 1931 as a white fabric manufacturer in Muromachi, Kyoto, and continues to weave Japanese silk fabrics. Its quality has been praised as a dyed fabric for kimono, and it is even used by the imperial family. By encapsulating the sensibilities and culture of silk textiles that we have cultivated over many years as a white fabric brand "Itoko" in laminated glass, we propose this material from a new perspective as an interior material. Embroidery thread that sparkles through the light, delicate and elaborate weaving. , dyeing and gold painting techniques, and various patterns that convey your feelings. Bringing the culture of clothing to living spaces. Introducing "silk glass," which re-proposes Japanese culture spun by silk as a modern spatial material.

■Features

Silk glass is a five-layer laminated glass made by sandwiching silk fibers between two sheets of glass and pressing them together with an interlayer film. By enclosing it in glass, the effects of air and ultraviolet rays are eliminated, preventing the silk from fading and deteriorating. It is a safe glass that is resistant to impact, and even if it is damaged during a disaster, glass fragments will not easily scatter or fall off. It can be processed according to the purpose and use, such as glass doors and partitions for offices and commercial spaces, furniture and table tops in hotels, and partition doors for residences.
