About This Product

■Features

The magnesium oxide "WR series" with enhanced water resistance and the synthetic magnesite "MagThermo", which we were the first to successfully mass-produce, have the characteristics required for thermally conductive fillers (thermal conductivity, heat resistance, hardness, water resistance, acid resistance). It has a well-balanced balance of It is reasonably priced and available in a wide range of particle sizes, making it suitable for a variety of applications.

■Reference

In general, plastics are lightweight, heat insulating, and are excellent as insulating materials, but they have the disadvantage of having a low thermal conductivity of approximately 0.1 to 0.3 W/m・K. In recent years, electric and electronic components have become smaller and more highly integrated, and there are cases where heat generated inside devices accumulates in plastic components and cannot be radiated externally, creating constraints on product design. Measures to quickly remove heat generated from circuits have become an extremely important issue, and fillers with insulating properties and high thermal conductivity are required for semiconductor encapsulation resins and heat dissipation sheets. Aluminum oxide Al2O3 and silicon oxide SiO2 are generally used as insulating thermally conductive fillers, and magnesium oxide MgO, boron nitride BN, aluminum nitride AlN, etc., which have higher thermal conductivity, are also being considered, but all of them are shown in the table below. They have advantages and disadvantages, and are used depending on the purpose and required performance.
