About This Product

Titanium Ti-3Al-2.5V (grade 9) alloy is a titanium alloy close to the alpha type. The composition is Ti-3Al-2.5V. Processed into cold-worked tubes. Its strength is 20% to 50% higher than that of pure titanium at room and elevated temperatures. It has excellent weldability and cold forming performance. TA18 alloy is generally used in annealed condition. Can be used for cold working and stress annealing. The maximum operating temperature is approximately 315°C. TA18 seamless tube is suitable for aircraft, engine hydraulics and fuel oil pipeline systems. It can be rolled into titanium foil and titanium strip, which are mainly used in aircraft honeycomb structures. Ti-3Al-2.5V alloy was used in the 1970s as a material for hydraulic, fuel, and other piping systems in high-tech military, aerospace, and commercial aircraft. In the early 1990s, TA18 was used in China's transport aircraft air conditioning pipelines and was also applied to aircraft engine piping systems. Today, it is used for welding torches with complex shapes and medium strength.
