■Summary
A device that supports people working at heights. It is small and lightweight, and reliably prevents it from falling.
■What is a keeper?
Generally called a retractable fall arrest device, it is used to prevent workers from falling from high places. Use the hook on the safety belt as shown in the photo. Pulling on the hook allows the wire rope to be pulled out of the keeper body, but a quick pull (the user falls) will activate the brake. It also has an automatic wire rope retractor function, so the wire rope is always kept taut. The case is made of sturdy aluminum.
■Safety performance
Retractable fall arrest devices not only ensure the safety of workers in the event of a fall, but also have the ability to reduce impact when stopping a fall over a short distance. The Keeper uses a "slip clutch" as its brake mechanism to reduce the impact load to 3.5kN (nominal), pursuing user-friendly performance even in the event of an emergency.
■Specification explanation
・Operating speed: Rope withdrawal speed at which the slip clutch works
・Rope return force: Wire rope tensile force due to automatic winding function
・Stopping distance: When using a weight of 85kg (the lighter the weight, the shorter the distance, and the heavier the weight, the longer the distance)
・Option: pedestal rope
*Stopping distance and impact load are based on the test method based on the "Safety Belt Structure Guidelines" of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
