About This Product

YSF lock nuts are designed to tighten the shaft from three locations diagonally (30 degrees) to the thread. This superior tightening method provides high loosening torque and is extremely effective in preventing loosening.

■Main uses

- Tightening nut for machine tool spindle bearings. - Tightening nut for ball screw support bearing. - Tightening nuts for places that require particular precision or want to shorten adjustment time.

■How to install/remove

To install, first set the lock nut after cleaning the male thread. Next, loosen the three locking set screws on the nut by 0.5 to 1 turn to prevent loosening. After that, tighten the first set screw until it lightly stops, then tighten the second and third screws to the specified tightening torque, and then tighten the first set screw to the same specified torque. It will be completed. To remove, first loosen the three set screws sufficiently. At this point, the locking metal at the end of the set screw is still engaged with the threaded part, so lightly tap it from the side with a hammer, etc. to make sure the locking metal is free, and then loosen the lock nut. please.

■Thread accuracy

GLO YSF type lock nuts are finished to ISO 4H grade. Therefore, we request that the thread accuracy of the shaft be finished to 4h class. This eliminates the need for post-installation adjustments and maintains high accuracy. *Other model numbers are available.
