The NB7141 is a protection IC that protects 1-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer batteries from overcharging, overdischarging, charging/discharging overcurrent, and short circuit, as well as a built-in watchdog timer (WDT). It is possible to force the device to enter standby mode by inputting a signal to the STB pin, reducing current consumption.
It achieves low voltage and highly accurate overcurrent detection, and by using a low resistance sense resistor, it is possible to reduce heat generation on the board. The low operating and standby current allows even low capacity batteries to last longer. Furthermore, the forced standby function using the STB terminal contributes to longer battery life. The built-in watchdog timer allows you to monitor the operating status of the MCU.
