About This Product

■Summary

NB7140 is a protection IC with built-in system reset function in addition to overcharge, overdischarge, charge/discharge overcurrent, and short circuit protection for 1-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer secondary battery. It is possible to force the device to enter standby mode by inputting a signal to the STB pin, reducing current consumption. It achieves low voltage and highly accurate overcurrent detection, and by using a low resistance sense resistor, it is possible to reduce heat generation on the board. The low operating and standby current allows even low capacity batteries to last longer. Furthermore, the forced standby function using the STB terminal contributes to longer battery life. When the MCU runs out of control, the system can be reset by turning off the charge FET/discharge FET using the RST pin.
