About This Product

The 6 to 18 claws installed on the tool bite into the pipe using hydraulic power, causing it to break in a short time. Due to its structure, the cut surfaces will not line up neatly, so we recommend using it to process removed pipes.

■Development requestWater and gas construction contractors are using hand cutters (with E and M) and rotary cutters to replace and remove (cut) ductile cast iron pipes and gray cast iron pipes. However, the current rupture time at one location is 30 to 40 minutes. There are problems that require effort and time. We received a request to develop a device that can cut in a short amount of time, and we began development together with a vendor.

Based on six concepts, those responsible for design, manufacturing, and the field worked together to develop the product. After numerous on-site tests and design changes, the first machine was completed in March 2014. Mass production began in May 2014, and it is being used by contractors on lease and rental.

■How to use・Connect Kittakun and the electric hydraulic pump securely with a hydraulic hose.
・Install Kittakun vertically on top of the pipe.
・When you turn on the electric pump, Kitt-kun tightens the pipe.
・By turning the pipe several times, the pipe can crack and break in about 10 seconds to 5 minutes. *The time until rupture may vary depending on the pipe size.

■About connectionSince the hydraulic pressure of the machine is 72Mpa, please connect the hydraulic hose coupler so that there is no gap between the threads. The cylinder may not return during use. Make sure to connect accurately as you may not be able to turn the coupler by hand when disconnecting the hydraulic hose. When connecting the coupler, please clean it with a waste cloth or parts tarner before connecting.

■ Regarding input power supplyThis product has a 100V specification. The power source is a generator with a power generation capacity of 1.4KW or a commercial power source that can generate 10A or more. When using an extension cord, please remove all cords from the drum. If you use the cord with the cord wrapped, the electrical resistance may cause the cord to burn out, or the electric current to the machine will increase, leading to damage to the hydraulic pump motor or solenoid valve. (We recommend a cord of Φ2 or more)

■Points to note when workingWhen using for pipe breaking work, install the machine as perpendicular to the pipe as possible. If this cannot be carried out, it will cause problems to the machine body and cause damage to the machine body. Mechanical work during suspension Never attempt to pull out a pipe or move the product by suspending it while the product is in a broken state. There are many places where it cannot be used during excavation, so please plan your work according to the site.
