Features of fluororesin hoses
■Chemical resistance
Fluoropolymer hoses are suitable for chemicals and solvents. Exceptionally, molten alkali metals, fluorine under high temperature and pressure, and some halogen derivatives are attacked. Also, since it does not contaminate fluids, it is ideal for hoses in acid/alkali lines, pharmaceutical lines, pure water lines, and food lines.
■Purity
Fluororesin is extremely pure as it does not contain any stabilizers or antioxidants. Also, there is no elution of metal ions, organic carbon, etc.
■Heat resistance
Can be used in a wide range of -80℃ to +180℃. (Varies depending on pressure and fluid.)
■Non-adhesive
It is difficult for sticky substances to adhere to it, has excellent mold releasability, and is not only ideal as a hose for handling sticky fluids, but it is also extremely easy to clean inside.
■Electrical characteristics
It has the lowest dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent among solid insulating materials, and is stable over a wide range of frequencies and temperatures. It exhibits the highest volume and surface resistivity, and has excellent electrical insulation properties.
■Weather resistance
Even if used outdoors, it will not be affected semi-permanently.
■Low friction characteristics
It exhibits the lowest coefficient of friction among resins. It is equivalent to the value when rubbing ice together.
■Hygroscopicity
PTFE and PFA have slightly different water absorption rates, but they absorb almost no water.
