About This Product
NED pipes are ZAM steel pipe drainage pipes that were inspired by the egg-shaped sewage pipes used since the Meiji era and incorporated their advantages. It is an ideal form brought back to life using Nikko Sangyo's proud metal hollow processing technology.
■Features
・Egg-shaped tube shape: Since the radius at the bottom of the tube is smaller than that of a round tube, the flow rate is maintained even with a small amount of drainage, and the structure does not leave any deposits.
・Spear-shaped tip shape (automatically creates a drainage slope): The bottom of the spear-shaped tip receives resistance and penetrates, so you can create a drainage slope of 5 to 10 degrees just by penetrating horizontally with a backhoe or concrete breaker. will be added automatically. Setting the angle during penetration is easy, leading to improved work efficiency.
- Made of ZAM steel pipe: Since rust-free ZAM steel pipe is used, it can be expected to stabilize the ground after installation.
・High water collection capacity: It has a large number of water collection holes (1,000/m) and has excellent water collection capacity.
・Contributes to shortening the construction period: No pre-boring is required and direct penetration is possible. Additionally, no special machinery is required and work can be started quickly, leading to a reduction in work time.
■Scope of application
- Embankment ground Artificial ground: Penetration possible
・Natural ground: Possible to penetrate
- Talus layer/strongly weathered rock layer Artificial ground/natural ground: Can be penetrated by pre-boring
・Weathered rock layer Natural ground: Penetration possible
■N value (reference construction value)
・NED pipes can be installed on sandy ground with an N value of up to about 10.
・According to actual results, we have confirmed the construction of clay soil with an N value of 3.
■Performance evaluation
Regarding the drainage performance of NED pipes, we have commissioned the Geotechnical Disaster Prevention Engineering Laboratory (Laboratory of Associate Professor Sengashira, Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, Nihon University) to conduct experiments and evaluations.
