However, in order to achieve high accuracy and minimize shaft runout, great care must be taken during assembly. ■Inspection method for eccentricity and declination in assembled condition Place the shaft of the assembled unit on the V block, rotate it slowly, and measure the runout of the shaft's circumference with a test indicator. ■Assembling precautions (set screw type) ・Clean the mating parts and remove any dirt. ・While turning the shaft or coupling lightly, tighten the two set screws diagonally on the left and right alternately and evenly to stabilize the shaft on the C/bottom surface. - Assemble shaft (1) and shaft (2) while keeping them in a straight line with no angle of deviation. If you tighten it while the angle of deviation is still there, it will not be possible to correct it completely. - If the shaft material is soft plastic or aluminum alloy, it is important not to tighten the set screw too strongly. This will cause the shaft to warp and cause an angular deviation. ■Precautions for assembly (clamping type) ・Clean the mating parts and remove any dirt. ・Tighten the clamp bolt little by little while turning the shaft or coupling lightly. The hole diameter of the coupling matches the outer circumference of the shaft, and the misalignment e becomes 0. This is the feature of the clamping type. - Assemble shaft (1) and shaft (2) while keeping them in a straight line with no angle of deviation.
