Characteristics of disc material
■Polyimide
It is a super engineering plastic that is heat resistant and chemically stable. It has high tensile strength and elastic modulus, and its outstanding bending resistance allows it to be used as a coupling disc to achieve flexibility that is impossible with metal.
■Carbon FRP
It is made by hardening carbon fiber fabric by impregnating it with resin.It has the highest specific strength and specific modulus of any material on the market, and has low creep and fatigue strength that is 3 to 7 times higher than aluminum alloy. The properties are very good. As a coupling disc, it has a well-balanced characteristic that has high torsional rigidity and transmission torque, and does not break due to fatigue due to deflection due to eccentricity or declination.
■Stainless steel leaf spring
I'm doing it. It has the highest tensile strength among the three types, so it is a high-rigidity, high-torque type of coupling disc. On the other hand, the tolerance for shaft center mismatch, especially eccentricity, is the smallest, so care must be taken when assembling.
