■Summary・A ball coupling is a rotation transmission element that combines the functions of a universal joint and a spline.
・The ball coupling, which consists of three elements: an inner hub, an outer hub, and a ball, has a patented functional structure.
- Since there are no size restrictions, possibilities are expanding from micro-sized to gigantic couplings.

■Features- The transmission torque, especially the damage torque, is large compared to the external size, so the device can be made smaller. (Consider the lifespan due to wear progression rather than damage even under usage conditions with large deviation angle and torque.)
・Since there are no basic restrictions on the materials of the hub and ball, it can be used in water, oil, high temperature, low temperature, vacuum, etc.
・You can design a coupling with the declination angle and expansion/contraction (spline) amount that meets the specifications required for actual use.
- Future developments are expected from micro robots to automatic machines, packaging machines, large industrial machines, etc.
・Achieved zero backlash with the ball press-fit type. Compatibility with high-speed, high-rigidity servos can also be considered.
・The size and number of balls to be incorporated are also designed according to the purpose. (Achievement: Up to 12 balls implemented)

・Actual misalignment (eccentricity, declination, expansion/contraction) is tolerated with minimum torque loss.

・Small size, large torque, and high rigidity allow for downsizing of equipment.
