TW9906 is the next generation chip of TW9905 developed for multimedia applications. It incorporates a 10-bit ADC that supports composite, S-video, and component inputs, and a 4H comb filter is available.
This product is a mixed signal chip that boasts high performance while being low cost and low power consumption. This product has a built-in front end such as AGC, clamp circuit, and three 10-bit ADCs (analog to digital converters), so it has the advantage of requiring minimal external components. Masu.
Up to 5 composite inputs can be connected and can be switched using software. Conversely, software controls allow you to switch between several composite and S-video inputs. (Up to 4 channels are possible regardless of format, but only 2 for S-Video and 2 for component input.)
For composite input, an extremely high-quality screen has been achieved by using an adaptive comb filter and brightness/color signal processing using proprietary technology. Advanced synchronization processing allows stable image processing even with non-standard signals such as VCR trick mode.
In addition, the built-in scaling engine allows you to create high-quality reduced screens to any size. Additionally, it supports closed captioning with a built-in closed caption decoder and VBI data pass-through mode.
