About This Product

■Adsorption plate with few suction marks due to micro holes and narrow pitch processing

When fixing films or soft sheet-like workpieces by suction, it is necessary to firmly fix them without wrinkles or suction marks. The features of the suction plate manufactured by Toray Precision are: (1) processing of minute holes, (2) arranging the holes at a narrow pitch, and (3) finishing the plate surface with high flatness. This makes it possible to suction and fix thin workpieces while suppressing distortion. Customization is also possible for use on production lines. (The hole diameter and hole arrangement are available upon request.)

■What is a suction plate?

A suction plate is a jig or device that suctions and fixes thin products (e.g. thin glass, thin film, ceramic sheets, etc.). The product is stably fixed by creating a vacuum on the surface that attracts the product. In addition to suction plate, there are multiple names such as suction plate, suction stage, vacuum chuck, and vacuum chuck. There are two types of suction fixation methods: one in which the product is suctioned and fixed on a metal plate with many microscopic holes, and another in which the product is suctioned and fixed on a porous material plate.

■Features of Toray Precision's suction plate

Toray Precision processes metal plates with highly precise micro-holes and positional accuracy, and finishes the suction surface with high flatness, making it possible to evenly suction and fix thin-film products.
