When repairing, renovating, or maintaining concrete buildings, accidents involving cutting of reinforcing steel, electrical wiring pipes, gas pipes, water pipes, etc. are a problem. In order to prevent this accident, the RC interior probe ``Handy Search'' was developed.
■Principle of handy search
Similar to general radar, when electromagnetic waves are emitted from the antenna toward the concrete surface, the electromagnetic waves that penetrate inside are reflected from reinforcing bars and cavities, which have different electrical properties from the concrete, and are received by the antenna again. By capturing this reflected signal and converting it into an image, the position and depth of the object can be displayed as an image and recorded on a printer, computer, etc.
■Exploration from metals to non-metals
Since it is a radar method, it can detect not only metal objects such as reinforcing bars, but also non-metallic objects such as PVC pipes and cavities. Data for 10m (15m for NJJ-95A) can be saved and played back in one measurement.
■Real-time surface wave processing
Surface wave removal processing can be performed in real time, allowing speedy measurements. In addition to fixed surface waves, surface waves can be set using data during measurement, and it combines easy operation and high-precision measurement.
It emits electromagnetic waves from the concrete surface inward, catches reflected waves from the target object, and displays the position and depth of the target object in an easy-to-see color image. Furthermore, by using IrDA and CF memory cards, recording to printers, computers, etc. can be easily performed.
