About This Product

■Summary

These are extremely easy-to-use optical tweezers provided by IMPETUX, an Italian manufacturer specializing in optical tweezers for biology. "Optical tweezers - SENSOCELL™" can trap cells and biomolecules (up to 256) under microscopic observation without contact, without the need for troublesome prior calibration. It is not affected by the sample or culture medium, and is compatible with various shapes, not just spheres. It is an ideal product for cell biology research as it can be applied to living cells and tissues. The laser uses a single frequency laser (5W, 1,064nm) with ultra-low noise, minimizing damage to cells and biomolecules. Easy-to-use software is also included, so even those who have no experience using optical tweezers can easily operate it.

■High operability that allows you to freely move the trap target

This device can accurately trap up to 256 objects over a wide area of 80 x 80 µm (with 60x objective lens), and can move up to 16 trap objects simultaneously. The trapping force is up to 500 pN, and the trap target can be moved freely to any position.

■Suitable for "in vitro" & "in vivo" conditions and can be applied to cells and tissues.

This device uses the "LIGHT MOMENTUM METHOD" and directly measures force. This also allows us to measure forces within cells and tissues.

■Features

・No calibration required ・Not affected by sample or culture medium ・Suitable for any shape ・It is also possible to measure forces within cells and tissues. ・Compatible with "in vitro", "in vivo", and "in situ" conditions ・Suitable for intracellular and tissue applications ・Up to 256 optical traps ・Can be combined with various microscopes ・Force resolution: < 50 fN ・High accuracy: ±5% (maximum ±10%) ・Position resolution: 1nm ・Can measure various motion patterns

■Application

・Mechanobiology research ・Cell membrane tension measurement ・Dynamic viscoelastic measurement ・Mechanical properties of the nucleus (mechanical pressure on the nuclear membrane and cellular response) ・Cell-cell interaction ・Research on biology and micromachining ・Cell biology research ・Biophysical research
