About This Product

■Summary

"GaSe" and "ZnTe" crystals for terahertz generation feature high laser damage thresholds, making it possible to generate very high quality THz pulses using high-power femtosecond lasers.

■GsSe crystal

The "GaSe" (gallium selenide) crystal used for THz generation exhibits a wide bandwidth up to 41 THz. Terahertz wave generation and detection of any frequency requires the use of "GaSe" crystals of appropriate thickness. “GaSe” crystals can only be cleaved along the (001) plane. Additionally, "GaSe" crystals are extremely soft and breakable, so care must be taken when handling them.
