About This Product

■Summary

The liquid crystal polarization spiral plate (Q-plate) is a new liquid crystal polarization element that can easily generate axially symmetric polarized light such as radial and azimuth polarized light, as well as optical vortices with starting angular momentum. The compatible wavelength is wide from 400 to 1700 nm, and optimal polarization can be generated by controlling the applied voltage. When circularly polarized light is incident on a spiral plate, an optical vortex with a spiral wavefront can be generated. Additionally, when linearly polarized light is input, radial and azimuthal polarized light can be generated. In addition to the standard model with topology charge l=1, l=2 is also available. ARCoptix offers liquid crystal axisymmetric polarization converters, and spiral plates are superior for many applications.
