About This Product

■Summary

ARSST can model upset scenarios such as loss of cooling, loss of agitation, misdosing of reagents, bulk load upsets, batch contamination, and fire exposure heating. This calorimeter allows you to quickly and safely assess potential reactive chemical hazards. The data obtained with this product shows the critical temperature and pressure rise rates during runaway reactions. This provides reliable energy and gas release rates that can be directly applied to full-scale process conditions. The system can measure small amounts of samples and is easy to set up and use.

■Suitable for a wide range of samples

・Solid and liquid samples ・Dosing or sampling of liquids/gases ・Energy materials

■Simulating various scenarios

Model upset scenarios such as loss of cooling, loss of agitation, reagent misdosing, bulk loading, batch contamination, and fire exposure heating

■Application

・Calculation of the required size of the emergency evacuation system (ERS) ・Calculation of adiabatic temperature rise and pressure rise rate (dT/dt, dP/dt) ・Calculation of total adiabatic temperature rise (ΔTad) ・Calculation of heat of reaction or heat of mixing ・Calculate maximum velocity (TMR) and self-accelerated decomposition temperature (SADT) assuming simple kinetics
