The PALM-100 series high-precision optical mount is a high-performance optical system mount developed for multi-axis optical axis adjustment and positioning of optical systems that require strict optical characteristics. Aspherical lenses, aspherical mirrors, radiation Aspheric optical systems such as object mirrors and off-axis parabolic mirrors are widely used. In these aspherical optical systems, it is difficult to bring out the full performance of the optical system by adjusting the optical axes only in the 3 axes (X, Y, and Z); Optical axis adjustment is required. However, even with 4-6 axes of optical axis adjustment, there is a problem in that it is not easy to find the optimal point of the optical system by simply arranging six optical axis adjustment stages. This is because conventional optical mounts rotate the optical element to be adjusted relative to the optical axis, which has the inherent problem that adjusting the angle also shifts the beam position at the focal point. . PALM-100 series, high-precision optical mount, is designed to be the focal point or light emitting point (one point) of the optical system. The beam angle is adjusted by gently rotating the optical element in the circumferential direction around the center, so the beam always points toward the focal point during adjustment, making it possible to keep the positional deviation of the beam at the focal point extremely small. The adjustment is easy and quick, and the accuracy of adjustment is significantly improved compared to the method of rotating the beam. The PALM-100 series uses a compact, frictionless multi-axis stage developed by our company in order to be compatible with the various aspherical optical systems mentioned above. This multi-axis stage can accommodate from 2 to 6 axes depending on the application, but because the basic structure is simple, it can be manufactured in any size from 25 x 25 mm to several meters. The application is not limited to optical systems, but can be widely applied as a multi-axis adjustment mechanism with an arbitrary pivot point in a hollow space or off-axis.
