About This Product

■Multi-Confocal Raman Microscope Phalanx-R Overview

The multi-confocal Raman microscope Phalanx-R is the world's first Raman microscope that can obtain two-dimensional Raman images in an instant, just like taking a photograph. It is now possible to image changing chemical reactions in real time, and to observe the state of molecular distribution inside cells and their changes at high speed while suppressing optical damage to samples, which has not been possible until now. It's possible.

■Measurement principle

Excitation laser light divided into 21 x 21 points (441 points in total) is focused and irradiated onto the sample at once, and the Raman scattered light from each point is also observed at the same time. Therefore, a 2D Raman image can be obtained instantly without scanning the sample or laser beam. With this mechanism, Phalanx-R suppresses optical damage to samples such as cells, and enables observation of rapidly changing phenomena and temporal changes, as well as wide-range observation. Each measurement point is made up of fully confocal optics, with a depth resolution of 900 nm. This makes it possible to obtain high-contrast Raman images even with transparent samples.

■Features

・World's first 21 x 21 points simultaneous multi-point measurement ・Realizes high-speed Raman imaging without staining or invasively for biological samples such as cells. ・Highly sensitive and highly efficient measurements are possible for soft materials even with weak laser measurements. ・Multi-point measurement enables Raman imaging in an instant like a camera ・High-sensitivity, high-speed real-time Raman imaging with "depth resolution" ・3D imaging

■Applications

・Observation of molecular distribution inside cells and their changes ・Real-time imaging of chemical reactions ・High-speed imaging of lithium-ion battery electrodes ・High-speed acquisition of data necessary for statistical analysis ・In-situ Raman imaging
