■Microscopic Brillouin-Raman spectrometer Nanofinder Overview

This is a device that combines the Raman microscope part of the Nanofinder series with Brillouin scattering measurement. In addition to chemical composition and molecular structure information from Raman scattering, it is possible to analyze samples from multiple angles by obtaining information on mechanical properties (viscoelasticity and elastic modulus) from Brillouin scattering. Because it is an optical method, measurements can be performed without touching the sample. Nanofinder's dedicated software allows Raman spectroscopy and Brillouin scattering measurements to be performed simultaneously, and it also supports imaging measurements using a motor stage or piezo stage.

The Brillouin spectroscopy unit uses a spectrometer that can obtain resolutions above sub-GHz using the patented Brillouin VIPA (Virtually Imaged Phased Array) technology + double-pass Fabry-Perot etalon optical system (GK: Green Killer). Brillouin scattered light observed in the vicinity of the excitation laser wavelength becomes difficult to measure if the excitation laser is not sufficiently removed if the reflected light from the opaque sample surface is strong. Therefore, with this spectrometer, an external GK option can be added to create an optical system that passes through the excitation laser cutting optical system a total of two times, making it possible to handle even higher-level laser line removal. I am. The excitation wavelength can be selected from the standard 532nm and 488nm. We can also offer microscopes in either upright or inverted types. Each device is connected via optical fiber as standard.
