■Ultraviolet/visible hybrid single photon detector

High efficiency, low jitter, extremely low probability afterpulse, ideal for TCSPC picosecond time-resolved measurements

■Product overview

Becker & Hickle's hybrid single-photon detector integrates a photocathode, silicon avalanche diode, high-voltage generator, and low-noise preamplifier in a fully shielded metal case for TCSPC applications. It was the first detector in the world to be manufactured. Power ON/OFF and gain control are possible using the included controller and software. It is also equipped with an overload safety shutdown function in the event of excessive light incidence, allowing for worry-free operation.

・Selectable from 5 types of photocathode ・Higher quantum efficiency and lower jitter performance than conventional PMT photomultiplier tubes ・Wider light-receiving area than conventional SPAD detectors, extremely low afterpulse probability ・Low noise performance with cooling option ・Select space injection or fiber injection
