Manufactured by Germany's Becker & Hickle, the SPC series is an electronics module that measures and analyzes high-speed light phenomena using TCSPC: Time Correlated Single Photon Counting. A CFD (constant ratio pulse height discriminator), TAC (time-voltage converter), AD converter, multichannel analyzer, memory, and other related control circuits are integrated on a single PCI board. The system has many features such as a reverse start-stop mode that allows the use of high repetition rate lasers, picosecond time resolution capability, channel time width down to 405 fs, high speed readout with a unique memory structure, and multi-channel input. . Standard software allows control of all parameters and combines signals from the light source and detector to support a variety of applications.

The "SPC-NXX model" has been released as a measuring instrument that can be used for fluorescence lifetime measurement, and is compatible with high-speed MCP-PMT detectors, hybrid detectors, and SSPD detectors, and has higher time resolution than previous models.
